Former White House Communications Director and Donald Trump adviser Hope Hicks has agreed to meet with the House select committee investigating the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol, CNN reported Tuesday, citing a source familiar with the details of the meeting.
Hicks, who previously had an “informal interview” with the committee, is being called back to get her interview transcribed, two separate sources told the news network.
According to multiple reports, Hicks told Trump he lost the 2020 presidential election and reportedly received pushback from the former president for not believing the election had been stolen.
CNN also noted that Hicks did not play a prominent role in the final weeks Trump was in office. The report does not mention the time the interview would take place.
