Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), who is one of the seven Republicans that were invited to attend a briefing at the White House about the recent Russia bombshell, is now claiming that the New York Times lied.
Banks described the bombshell New York Times report as a “hit piece falsely accusing Trump of ignoring reports that Russia placed bounties on American soldiers in Afghanistan.”
Banks then claimed that “the blood is on their hands” for reporting fatalities that had already occurred.
Sad, but many in the media & Congress rushed to judgement before learning the whole story. We should treat anonymously sourced @nytimes stories about Russia w/ skepticism.
