Fox Business anchor David Asman tore into President Donald Trump’s latest legislative push on Tuesday, calling it “the most inefficient piece of crap I’ve ever seen.”

The blunt criticism came during a Fox News segment where Asman was asked about Elon Musk’s earlier remarks slamming Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” as a “disgusting abomination.” Asman didn’t just agree—he piled on.

“A business person who’s used to getting things done efficiently could only look at this bill and say it’s the most inefficient piece of crap I’ve ever seen,” Asman said. “I mean, it really is a horrible, horrible bill when you think of all that stuff that the politicians shove into it.”

Asman also took a jab at Trump himself, saying he might have agreed with Musk—if he hadn’t spent four years soaking in D.C. politics.

“Well, I would argue that had Trump not spent four years already inside the swamp known as Washington, D.C., inside the Beltway, that he probably would have said the same thing about this bill,” he said.

Despite the harsh words, Asman urged Republicans to support the bill—not because it’s good, but because letting the 2017 tax cuts expire would be worse.

“What would be worse for Republicans is if the tax cuts from 2017 time out, and they end up with a tax increase on their watch,” he said. “That would mean they would lose the midterms and the Democrats would be totally in charge, or at the very least stop every single thing that Donald Trump wants to do.”

Asman ended his rant with a nod to Ronald Reagan, arguing that tax cuts help the economy grow—and eventually shrink the deficit.

“The problem is not the size of the deficit,” Asman said, quoting Reagan. “It’s the size of the government’s claim on our economy.”
