A Florida man was arrested after allegedly threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump and claiming he had missiles aimed at New York City, including Trump Tower.
Justin Blaxton, 34, of Loxahatchee, reportedly made multiple alarming calls to 911 in Palm Beach County on February 25, where he made threatening statements. According to police audio, Blaxton allegedly said, “I need a ride to the airport to be taken to The White House so I can assassinate the president,” and later added, “I’m about to launch f***ing missiles to destroy New York. I’m a Confederate Soldier and I’m getting revenge.”
Blaxton was arrested the following day, on February 26, and charged with threats to discharge a destructive device, making false reports about explosives, and placing false 911 calls. He appeared in court on Wednesday.
Blaxton, who has a history of mental health-related interactions with local law enforcement, has been given a bond of $25,000 and is scheduled for a mental health court hearing on April 16.
Palm Beach County is home to Mar-a-Lago, the private club and estate of Donald Trump.
This incident comes amid a history of threats against Trump. In September, Ryan Wesley Routh was arrested for attempting to kill Trump at Mar-a-Lago, after being spotted with a rifle. Routh was confronted by a Secret Service agent, who fired at him, causing Routh to flee before being arrested.

In July, another individual, Matthew Crooks, got close to shooting Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Crooks’ bullet grazed Trump’s ear.
