36-year-old Jeremy Gordon Stromwall was arrested this week after he was accused of poisoning multiple pets in his neighborhood with antifreeze.
According to reports, Stromwall faces four counts of aggravated animal cruelty, according to an announcement from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.
The first incident took place on December 2, when authorities began to be called about possible animal poisonings.
“Upon arrival, police learned that a cat named Mr. Cat had been taken to the Dunnellon Animal Hospital after exhibiting symptoms of illness and seizure. Mr. Cat died during treatment, and further testing confirmed that he had likely been poisoned,” a report revealed
The report added: “Mr. Cat’s owner reported that her dog, Bella, had died under similar circumstances in October, according to police. Another neighbor reported five cats had also died since October.”
