A north Texas couple who boasted about fighting police officers as they stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 were arrested by federal agents and appeared in a Texas federal court last week, Law&Crime reports.

The Trump-loving couple, Mark and Jalise Middleton were arrested Wednesday and slapped with seven charges, which include: “assaulting, resisting and impeding officers; obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder; obstruction of justice/congress; knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; violent entry and disorderly conduct on capitol grounds,” federal prosecutors said.

Court records show images from two police body cameras worn by police officers showing the couple assaulting the officers with their hands.

“Get back,” one of the officers said, according to the complaint.

“F*** you,” Mark Middleton replied as he pushed back against a barricade erected by police.

Another video reportedly shows Jalise Middleton reaching over the barricade and repeatedly grabbing and striking a police officer.

In a post to Facebook, Mark Middleton declared that he and his wife were “on the front lines” at the Capitol.

We helped push down the barriers,” he wrote. “Jalise and I got pepper-sprayed, clubbed, and tear-gassed. We had to retreat, but more patriots pushed forward, and they’re taking back our house … No more fooling around! … Make America great again!”

In comments posted to her Facebook page, Jalise Middleton declared that they “fought the cops to get in the Capital (sic) and got pepper-sprayed and beat but by gosh the patriots got in!”

Her comments have since been deleted.

A spokesman for Nortex Communications, where Mark Middleton has worked since October, said he was no longer employed at the company as of Thursday.
