The FBI is probing a possible link between terror suspect Shamsud Din Jabbar and the Cybertruck blast driver Matthew Livelsberger.

The FBI is looking into a potential connection between the suspects behind two deadly attacks on New Year’s Day in New Orleans and Las Vegas.

On Wednesday morning, Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, drove a truck into a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens more. The attack happened after Jabbar managed to break through police barricades, and authorities believe he may have had help. Investigators are working to determine if there were any accomplices involved in the horrific event.

Meanwhile, law enforcement is also examining a possible link between Jabbar and the driver involved in an explosion outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas just hours earlier. The driver, identified as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger, a former U.S. Army veteran, was reportedly behind the wheel of a Tesla Cybertruck when it blew up. Local media reports suggest that Livelsberger and Jabbar may have both served at the same military base, fueling suspicions of a possible connection between the two men.

Sources close to the investigation told Denver7 that Jabbar and Livelsberger’s military backgrounds could be key to understanding their actions. Both men are veterans of the U.S. Army—Jabbar from New Orleans, and Livelsberger from Colorado Springs.

President Joe Biden addressed the tragic events, calling Jabbar “inspired by ISIS” and saying he had a “desire to kill.” He also expressed confidence that New Orleans would remain resilient in the face of the attack, saying, “The spirit of our New Orleans will never, never, never be defeated.”
