On Sunday morning, President Donald Trump decided that it was a good idea to retweet a video of fans of his in the Villages in Florida driving in golf carts festooned with “Trump 2020” signs and rallying each other’s spirits over his faltering presidential campaign with chants of “white power.”
“Thank you to the great people of The Villages. The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Fall in the Fall. Corrupt Joe is shot. See you soon!!!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
The president’s tweet was met widespread criticism, with commenters accusing him of promoting racism.
Facing a fierce backlash, the president attempted to put out the fire by deleting his tweet. But we saved a screenshot and saved it for eternity.
