Peter Navarro, Donald Trump’s former trade adviser, has launched a bizarre campaign urging Fox News and other right-wing media to stop referring to Kamala Harris by her first name. In a fiery rant on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast, Navarro warned that conservative commentators are inadvertently boosting Harris’s public image by using her first name.

“Cut the Kamala crap,” Navarro declared, demanding that right-wing pundits cease using the vice president’s first name. He argued that calling Harris “Kamala” is a strategic blunder that makes her appear more relatable and favorable.

Navarro specifically called out prominent conservative figures like Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Greg Kelly, urging them to stop using Harris’s first name because it undermines their own anti-Harris narratives.

“Do me a favor, everybody associated with the Trump campaign, everybody out there who’s a commentator in conservative TV, radio, whoever you are, Sean, Laura, Jesse, my brother, Rob Schmidt or Greg Kelly at Newsmax, here’s the thing. I’m urging you from this day forward, never, ever, ever to refer to Kamala Harris by her first name only, Kamala,” Navarro said. “She is not a soccer star, okay. Pelé, I get it. Messy, I get it okay, but, but when you use Kamala these days, it does not do us any good. Works in the other direction. It personalizes her and it creates a favorable impression.”

Recently released from a four-month prison sentence for contempt of Congress, Navarro suggested alternative nicknames for Harris, like “Kamachameleon” or “Kamaliar,” as more appropriate for conservative rhetoric. “The only time you hear Trump referred to simply as ‘Donald’ is when it’s meant to be derogatory,” Navarro noted, insisting on a similar level of formal detachment for Harris.

“So, cut the Kamala crap. Okay, cut the Kamala crap. Please pass that on. Some of my friends in the social media, please put that out there. Everybody, everybody, send this out right now. It’s not doing the Trump campaign a single bit of good to ever refer to this one by her first name. She is not Pelé,” Navarro insisted.

Navarro’s demand to “cut the Kamala crap” highlights the Trump campaign’s struggle to find an effective strategy against Harris, as previous attacks have failed to resonate.
