In a bizarre turn of events, the Twitter account of Donald Trump Jr., son of the former U.S. President, has been reportedly hacked Wednesday morning after a string of eyebrow-raising posts appeared on it. One of these posts asserted that his father had died and that he would seize the opportunity to run in the 2024 presidential election.
“I’m sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024,” read one of the posts.
Additionally, another concerning post declared, “Breaking News: North Korea is about to get smoked”
Yet another post from the breached account contained explicit language aimed at President Joe Biden.
A spokesperson for Trump Jr. verified to The Hill that the compromised account, boasting over 10 million followers, had indeed been hacked.
As of now, a spokesperson for X has not provided an immediate response to inquiries.
Both Donald Trump Jr. and his father have maintained radio silence, refraining from issuing any immediate statements regarding the hacking.
