Supporters of former president Donald Trump who traveled to Nebraska to attend a “Save America” rally were forced to leave the venue without seeing their idol after the rally was postponed because of the weather.
“Thank you to all who waited in line for our Save America Rally tonight in Greenwood, Nebraska. Because of severe weather, including the possibility of 60 mph+ wind, hailstorms, and maybe even tornadoes, I will not be coming to Nebraska tonight, but rather, weather permitting, will be there this Sunday night, May 1st,” Trump said in a statement announcing the postponement, according to local station KLKN-TV.
“The most important thing is to keep you safe, and that cannot be done with such a terrible forecast,” he added.
Yup, the same man who held rallies at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic is now claiming that the safety of his supporters is his top priority.
