Donald Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced this week that the United States Postal Service won’t make any policy changes until after the 2020 elections. But it appears DeJoy has followed in Trump’s footsteps and lied.
DeJoy had received backlash after his policy changes at the USPS resulted in a slowdown of mail. Many believed the move was an attempt to stop mail-in voting in this year’s elections.
After receiving backlash, DeJoy tried to reassure his critics by saying policy changes will be put on hold until after the election. But new video surfaced on Wednesday showing mail sorting machines being dismantled in a Michigan parking lot – which raises the question: Did DeJoy lie about suspending policy changes and is still looking to slow down mail?
