A Florida man who fled to West Virginia after being accused of drugging and molesting an autistic child was taken into custody Wednesday by U.S. marshals, local ABC station WCHS-8 reports.
Citing a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service, the station reported that “Alain Luis Forget was wanted for the delivery of a controlled substance to a 15-year-old boy in Hamilton County, Florida and attempting to sexually molest the child before he died of an overdose.”
According to authorities, Forget temporarily resided in West Virginia to evade law enforcement.
But investigators located him in New Albany, Indiana where he was arrested.
Forget has been transported to the Floyd County Jail in Indiana and will await extradition back to Florida, the station reported.
