Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger, of Illinois, condemned three of his fellow House Republicans who voted against a resolution expressing support for the Ukrainian people as they are under a cruel assault from Russian forces.
Despite overwhelming bipartisan support, GOP Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Thomas Massie (R-KY), and Matt Rosendale (R-MT) voted against it, prompting Kizinger to respond.
“Paul Gosar, Rosendale, and Thomas Massie just voted NO in the house of reps on a resolution supporting the people of Ukraine. Unreal,” Kinzinger commented on Twitter before adding: “The bright side is over 400 voted yes.”
President Joe Biden dedicated a good portion of his State of the Union Address on Tuesday to express support for the Ukrainian people, outlining how the United States and its allies have imposed crippling economic sanctions against Vladimir Putin’s regime while also providing Ukraine with weapons and intelligence aimed at fending off the Russian invaders.
