Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is breaking sharply with her own party — and with Donald Trump — calling for his removal from office while accusing fellow Republicans of being too “terrified” to stand up to him.

In a striking appearance on CNN, Greene blasted Trump over his recent threat suggesting the destruction of Iranian civilization, questioning both the morality and stability behind such rhetoric.

“How can any person that is mentally stable call for an entire civilization of people to be murdered?” Greene said. “To be wiped out, to never come back again?”

Greene didn’t stop at criticism — she made clear she believes Trump should no longer remain in power.

“He’s out of control,” she said. “People within the administration need to step up, take responsibility, and rein this in.”

The comments mark a dramatic shift for Greene, once one of Trump’s most loyal allies. In recent weeks, however, she has grown increasingly vocal, pointing to frustrations over his handling of the Epstein fallout and what she sees as a betrayal of his “America First” promises.

She also warned that Trump’s rhetoric toward Iran implies a level of escalation that could only be carried out with catastrophic force, suggesting such actions would likely involve nuclear weapons — something she said U.S. troops themselves might refuse to execute.

But Greene reserved some of her harshest criticism for her Republican colleagues, accusing them of privately disagreeing with Trump while publicly staying silent out of fear.

“Everyone else is just afraid to speak out,” she said. “They’re terrified of having an ugly Truth Social post dropped on them or facing a primary challenge.”

She pointed specifically to the pressure campaign against Rep. Thomas Massie, arguing it has sent a chilling message across the الحزب.

“That’s what other Republicans are terrified of,” Greene said. “So they won’t speak up. They’re cowards.”

Greene also took aim at House Speaker Mike Johnson, criticizing his continued defense of Trump despite the escalating conflict with Iran.

“He calls himself a Christian,” Greene said, “but that’s not what Christianity is all about.”
