President Donald Trump wasted no time blasting a Republican foe after a surprise wedding announcement Friday night.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), long considered a thorn in Trump’s side, revealed that he had tied the knot with Carolyn Grace Moffa, a former staffer for U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY). Massie, who has consistently clashed with the president on issues ranging from the Epstein investigation to the national debt, shared the news on Facebook.
“Carolyn and I would like to announce our recent marriage! We were legally married in Kentucky on October 19th by the pastor of the church we have been attending for several months. This weekend we celebrated with close friends and family at a Christian wedding ceremony in Pennsylvania where Carolyn is from,” Massie wrote.
Massie also revealed the length of their history, noting he met Moffa more than a decade ago when she worked for Paul.
Instead of sending congratulations, Trump went on the offensive in a post that mixed political jabs with personal attacks.
“Did Thomas Massie, sometimes referred to as Rand Paul Jr., because of the fact that he always votes against the Republican Party, get married already??? Boy, that was quick! No wonder the Polls have him at less than an 8% chance of winning the Election,” Trump wrote. “Anyway, have a great life Thomas and (?). His wife will soon find out that she’s stuck with a LOSER!”
