Steve Bannon issued a blunt warning to Donald Trump, telling him that parts of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are working against him from inside the government — and they need to go.

“You have an enemy within right now in the government,” Bannon said Thursday on Real America’s Voice. He pointed the finger directly at former DOGE administrator Elon Musk, calling him “Elmo” and claiming Musk used DOGE to get access to sensitive data for his artificial intelligence projects.

“He wrote a $200 million check, and he thought he bought the U.S. government,” Bannon said. “The whole DOGE fantasy was to get in here and get the data and the data sets for his artificial intelligence program.”

Bannon didn’t hold back, saying some people inside DOGE are sabotaging Trump’s efforts from within.

“They got a bunch of these DOGE guys. The good guys that said, ‘No, I want to become part of Trump’s administration.’ They’re blackmailing and saying, ‘Hey, you’re out of Silicon Valley. If you’re in a company, we’re going to cut your investors off.’ And the good guys, right, and the bad guys are still there. There’s some bad guys still there.”

He compared the situation to a disease, saying, “It’s like a cancer. It’s got to be cut out.”

In Bannon’s eyes, DOGE isn’t just a government agency — it’s a threat from the inside.
