Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger blasted President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance as “absolute cowards” for being “scared” to stand up to Russian leader Vladimir Putin while picking on Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Trump and Vance are absolute cowards,” Kinzinger said in a video shared on X. “We should be thanking Ukraine for standing up to Russia. Ukraine is fighting back against the Russian invasion. But Trump is too scared to even stand next to Putin and say anything bad about him.”

Kinzinger continued, “Trump’s afraid of Putin, yet he’s president of the United States. And now he’s lecturing Zelensky. Vance, who clearly doesn’t care about Ukraine, is also trying to stir up trouble.”

He added, “Remember, Trump called this invasion ‘brilliant.’ He said what Putin was doing was ‘brilliant.’ That was three years ago. This was supposed to be over in a few days or weeks. Now, three years later, Russia’s economy is collapsing, and they can’t even keep fighting. Meanwhile, Ukraine is still standing strong. So no one in the White House should be lecturing Zelensky.”

Kinzinger wrapped up with a blunt, “Screw you guys.”

His comments came after a tense encounter between Trump, Vance, and Zelensky at the White House. During Zelensky’s visit, seeking continued U.S. military aid, an argument broke out. Trump and Zelensky clashed loudly in the Oval Office over U.S. support, with Vance also criticizing Zelensky for discussing the matter publicly, calling him “disrespectful.”
