During Tuesday’s debate, Vice President Kamala Harris took a swipe at former President Donald Trump, using his rallies as fodder for a pointed jab. She highlighted Trump’s penchant for bizarre tangents and unorthodox topics in an effort to get under his skin.
“I’m gonna invite you to attend one of Donald Trump’s rallies because it’s a really interesting thing to watch,” Harris quipped.
She went on to critique Trump’s remarks, saying, “He talks about fictional characters like Hannibal Lecter. He will talk about windmills cause cancer,” she continued. “And what you will also notice is people start leaving his rallies early out of exhaustion and boredom. And I will tell you the one thing you will not hear him talk about, is you.”
Trump, visibly irritated, demanded a chance to respond. “She said people start leaving. But people don’t even attend her rallies,” he retorted. “So she can’t speak on that. People don’t leave my rallies.”
