Donald Trump marked Independence Day with a barrage of fiery posts on Truth Social, taking aim at adversaries like Jack Smith and ABC News’ George “Slopadopoulos,” while also unveiling his new plan for a no-holds-barred showdown against Joe Biden.

In a provocative social media blitz, Trump envisioned a bare-knuckle debate with Biden, without moderators, harking back to what he termed the “good, old fashioned” style of political confrontation. Trump outlined a litany of topics he intends to confront Biden on, including immigration, inflation, electric vehicles, and transgender athletes.

“What a great evening it would be, just the two of us, one on one, in a good, old fashioned debate,” Trump wrote, “the way it used to be.”

Describing the proposed debate as the antidote to what he called “Crooked Joe Biden Incompetence,” Trump framed it as a critical test for his opponent and himself alike.

Trump’s call for a stripped-down debate format comes amid mounting speculation over Biden’s political future following lackluster debate performances that have raised doubts about his ability to lead the Democratic ticket in 2024.

Looking ahead, a highly anticipated rematch between Trump and Biden is slated for September 10, at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, hosted by ABC News. However, details on moderators and debate rules have yet to be announced.

Since his last debate appearance, Trump has maintained a relatively low profile, opting for golf outings and intermittent social media salvos targeting Biden. However, his Fourth of July posts marked a return to form, as he wasted no time in lambasting Biden’s leadership and debating skills.

“Happy Fourth of July to all, including to our highly incapable ‘President,’ who uses Prosecutors to go after his Political Opponent, who choked like a dog during the Debate but tried to pretend it was ‘International Travel’ (only 12 days rest!) and, when that gig was up, he blamed it on a ‘cold,’” Trump wrote.

He then took shots at Vice President Kamala Harris.

“She did poorly in the Democrat Nominating process, starting out at Number Two, and ending up defeated and dropping out, even before getting to Iowa,” the former president added.
