Melania Trump is expected to join a gathering of all living former first ladies, including Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Laura Bush, to pay tribute to the late Rosalynn Carter at a memorial service this week. The Carter Center’s list of anticipated guests, released on Monday, includes the former model and wife of ex-President Trump.
The service, an invitation-only event at Emory University in Atlanta, will also be attended by President Biden, first lady Jill Biden, Vice President Harris, and second gentleman Doug Emhoff. Notably absent from the guest list is former President Trump, who reportedly did not receive an invitation.
Melania Trump has maintained a low profile since her husband left the White House in 2021 and subsequently launched his 2024 presidential campaign, making limited public appearances and interviews. In a rare interview with Fox News last year, she mentioned, “Life is great, and [I’m] keeping it busy.”
The Carter Center disclosed more information about the memorial honoring the late Rosalynn Carter, who passed away last week at the age of 96. The details underscored musical performances by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, showcasing Carter’s favorite melodies, along with special appearances by family friends Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
