A war of words between Donald Trump and disgraced rapper Kanye West has spilled into the public following their inharmonious dinner at Mar-a-Lago last week where West asked the former president to be his running mate in 2024.
Trump, who has already announced his intentions to run for president in 2024, allegedly turned down the offer and insulted West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
West, who now goes by “Ye”, went after Trump by revealing that the former president started yelling at him for asking him to be his running mate.
“I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about, me asking him to be my vice president,” West said. “I think that was like lower on the list of things that caught him off guard. It was the fact that I walked in with intelligence.” He added; “When Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was going to lose. I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? [laughs] I’m like, woah woah hold on hold on Trump, you’re talking to Ye.”

Trump shot back on Saturday on Truth Social, calling the embattled rapper “a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black.”
“So I help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black Ye (Kanye West), who had been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who had always been good to me, by allowing his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone, so that I can give him very much needed ‘advice,’” Trump said.
Trump complained that West “showed up with three people, two of whom I didn’t know,” including white supremacist Nick Fuentes, and said he told West “don’t run for office, a total waste of time, can’t win.”
Despite Trump’s comments, West had said in a social media video that Trump was “really impressed” with Fuentes.
