Donald Trump’s legal exposure appears to be growing after the Explosive firsthand testimony delivered by Cassidy Hutchinson before the Jan. 6 committee about the former president’s conduct on the day of the insurrection and those leading up to it.
The former president is very aware of his predicament and his constant rants on his social media site about the Committee hearings show he’s worried about a potential criminal indictment.
On Tuesday, Trump lashed out at Hutchinson, calling her a “female scam artist” and a “leaker” over her testimony before the Jan 6 Committee.
“Can you even imagine the unselect Committee, which was formed solely for the purpose of bringing down my “numbers,” or worse, relying on the Fake and made up stories, already debunked, of a female scam artist, Cassidy Hutchinson, who desperately wanted to go with the Trump Tea to Florida long after January 6th, and went “crazy” when she was told no.” Trump ranted on Truth Social. “They call her a “leaker” and worse, didn’t want her,” he claimed angrily.

Hutchinson, who was a principal aide to White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, testified under oath about a volatile and angry president. Trump, she said, was prone to throwing dishes and once even grabbed the wheel of the presidential limousine because that’s how badly he wanted to go to the Capitol with the rioters.
She also testified that Trump knew people who showed up at his speech on Jan. 6 had weapons and was furious that many were being stopped by magnetometers; and when the insurrection was taking place, Trump didn’t care.
“He doesn’t want to do anything, Pat,” Meadows said, per Hutchinson, in a conversation with White House lawyer Pat Cipollone, who was urging Meadows to push Trump to tamp down the violence.
Cipollone responded: “Mark, something needs to be done, or the blood is going to be on your effing hands.”
As many White House aides testified, Cippolone was concerned that he and others at the White House could be charged with crimes over Trump’s actions on Jan 6.
His message to Hutchinson and Meadows when it came to Trump wanting to go to the Capitol: make sure it doesn’t happen.
“We are going to get charged with every crime imaginable if that happens,” Cippolone said, per Hutchinson.
Now, that possibility is sinking in Trump’s mind and he seems to be freaking out.
