Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio, who is facing serious charges over his role in the 6 January insurrection —alongside numerous comrades— is whining about the conditions of his incarceration since his arrest in March.

In a motion filed by his lawyer, Tarrio complains that he’s unable to defend himself because he’s broke and unable to work while being locked up.

Tarrio who was indicted by a federal grand jury on seditious conspiracy charges related to the Jan. 6 insurrection, has been ordered detained pending trial.

The indictment alleges that Tarrio was aware of discussions around a plan to storm the Capitol on Jan. 6, and was involved in discussions about occupying buildings, including Capitol complex buildings.
