Before becoming president of the United States, Donald Trump promised that he would abolish the Affordable Care Act and have something better in place by the beginning of his presidency. It has been nearly four years and he has yet to say what his plan on healthcare is.
On Monday, Democrats in the Senate hammered Republicans for rushing through a right-wing Supreme Court nominee less than a month before the court is due to hear a Trump administration-backed lawsuit aimed at overturning the entire Affordable Care Act.
In response, Trump took to Twitter to launch an all-caps Twitter tirade attacking Democrats for calling out his incompetence.
“We will have Healthcare which is FAR BETTER than ObamaCare, at a FAR LOWER COST – BIG PREMIUM REDUCTION,” the president wrote. “PEOPLE WITH PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS WILL BE PROTECTED AT AN EVEN HIGHER LEVEL THAN NOW. HIGHLY UNPOPULAR AND UNFAIR INDIVIDUAL MANDATE ALREADY TERMINATED. YOU’RE WELCOME!”
