Longtime Republican Senate Leader Bob Dole (R-KS), who is 97 years of age, took to Twitter this Friday to complain that the Commission on Presidential Debates is unfair because they don’t support Donald Trump.
Dole was the GOP nominee for president in 1996 and chaired the Republican National Committee during the Nixon administration.
“The Commission on Presidential Debates is supposedly bipartisan [with] an equal number of Rs and Ds. I know all of the Republicans and most are friends of mine,” Dole posted on his Twitter account.
“I am concerned that none of them support [Trump]. A biased Debate Commission is unfair,” he declared.
The Commission on Presidential Debates is supposedly bipartisan w/ an equal number of Rs and Ds. I know all of the Republicans and most are friends of mine. I am concerned that none of them support @realDonaldTrump. A biased Debate Commission is unfair.

Dole did receive backlash for claiming the Debate Commission is biased.
With all due respect, there are many reasons that they and many other Republicans don’t support Trump. #CountryOverParty

It’s like asking a person who just had their house burned down to be unbiased to the arsonist.
