Excerpts from Michael Cohen’s tell-all book are being leaked as the release date inches closer. One key excerpt talked about the hush money Donald Trump ordered Cohen to pay to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that Trump felt that it would cost him a lot less money to pay off Daniels than his wife Melania Trump.
Recalling the discussion with Trump, Cohen says the president claimed $130,000 “is a lot less than I would have to pay Melania.”
According to Cohen’s book, Trump also believed that sleeping with an adult film start would obtain him cool points among his supporters.
Cohen recalls Trump musing, if news spread about Daniels, his supporters might “think it’s cool that I slept with a porn star.”
Cohen also recalls that when the news broke about Daniels in 2018, it “caused a shitstorm of biblical proportions, even by the Trump Presidency standards.”
