In 2018, Donald Trump created the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board, which is co-chaired by his eldest daughter Ivanka Trump along with Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.
The group decided to launch a ad campaign intended to get people encouraged to get back to work. The campaign urges millions of Americans who are out of a job are told to just “find something new.”
“There has never been a more critical time for Americans of all ages and backgrounds to be aware of the multiple pathways to career success and gain the vocational training and skills they need to fill jobs in a changing economy,” Ivanka Trump said in announcing the campaign.
More than ever our #PledgetoAmericasWorkers is focused on helping Americans 🇺🇸 bolster skills to find new jobs + navigate career transitions.
Today we are launching the #FindSomethingNew ad campaign!https://t.co/gS1JL50lcU

It didn’t take long for Twitter users to slam the president’s daughter over the campaign. Take a look at some of the responses below:
I would LOVE to #FindSomethingNew, which is why I will be voting for @JoeBiden in November!

Oh wow, #FindSomethingNew, it was so simple, why didn't we think of that Complicit Vapid Barbie?
We could've just asked daddy to find us a job we were ill-equipped and unfit for because we were bored!
And here we thought Eric was the stupid one. 🙄 pic.twitter.com/W4vCZCCAsI

I'm old enough to remember when the Right freaked out when the Obama admin. allocated federal monies to retrain coal workers whose jobs were NEVER coming back.
But, hey, depression-level unemployment in an election year makes for strange things.

But you guys eliminated funding to the ARC, which was projected to create or retain more than 1,200 jobs and provide education or workforce training to more than 2,300 people in the state’s 54 ARC counties.

Seconded

I ask this in all sincerity: are you living in a different dimension where none of :::waves around arms wildly::: is happening?

A great #PledgetoAmericasWorkers would be to not try to kill them by opening up businesses carelessly during a deadly pandemic.
— Liddle’ Savage (@littledeekay) July 14, 2020
Oh, cool. An ad. Why didnt we think of this as a fix to 25 million unemployed, 28 million soon to be homeless, and 138,000 dead.
Good job, grifter princess

My employer used this pandemic to eliminate my job… i.e. my high salary . Ageism is real not imaginary. Finding something new at age 57 is hard even with a masters degree

4 yrs and still waiting…

Oh yeah, that's exactly what unemployed workers need, a federally funded AD CAMPAIGN. Because they're not already looking for work that is becoming scarcer all the time. Extend unemployment supplements instead!
