Former President Barack Obama on Tuesday endorsed his former Vice President, Joe Biden, CNN reports.
Obama will make the official endorsement of Joe Biden for president in a video message, offering why he believes his former vice president is the candidate needed at this moment of crisis in America, a source familiar with the plans told the news network.
While Obama’s endorsement was seen as a forgone conclusion once Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders dropped out of the race last week, it reignites the Obama coalition that led to resounding Democratic victories in 2008 and 2012.
With Obama as Biden’s most powerful surrogate in the race against President Donald Trump, every red state is now in play for Democrats.
