It was supposed to be a fun, energetic fitness demo. Instead, it turned into a jaw-dropping moment of live TV that had viewers gasping — and hosts scrambling.

During a segment on Fox 5 New York’s Good Day New York, veteran anchor Rosanna Scotto joined celebrity trainer Kenny Santucci to try her hand at pullups. What followed was a cringe-worthy, face-first fall caught live on air.

Santucci, who was assisting Scotto by holding her legs as she attempted the exercise, tried to guide her back down — but things didn’t go as planned. Scotto suddenly tumbled forward, hitting the floor with an audible thud.

“Oh, my God,” Scotto exclaimed, clearly dazed.

Co-host Curt Menefee and Santucci immediately rushed to help her back to her feet as the studio went quiet for a beat. Menefee, trying to cut the tension, joked, “What kind of insurance do you have?”

“Not very good,” Santucci replied.

Still visibly shaken but standing, Scotto insisted she was alright.
“You OK?” Menefee asked again.
“I’m fine, I’m fine!” Scotto said, brushing it off.

“Don’t exercise in heels — that’s the lesson,” Menefee quipped.

It’s unclear what exactly caused the fall — an awkward dismount, a balance issue, or just plain bad luck — but the moment lit up social media, where concerned (and stunned) viewers flooded the comments.

Rosanna Scotto, a seasoned broadcaster known for her poise, proved once again that she can take a hit — literally — and keep going. But next time, maybe swap the heels for sneakers.
