The White House rushed to defend Donald Trump on Monday night after a controversial comment he made nearly two decades ago resurfaced—one in which he joked about an “age limit” for dating and referenced 12-year-olds.
In a 2006 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Trump, then 60, was asked if he could still attract young women. “Do you think you could now be banging 24-year-olds?” Stern asked.
“Oh, absolutely. I have no trouble,” Trump replied. “I have no problem.”
Co-host Robin Quivers followed up: “Do you have an age limit?”
Trump began to answer, “No, no, I have no age— I mean, I have an age — I don’t want to be like Congressman Foley, with, you know, 12-year-olds.”
The comment, which references then-Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL)—who resigned that year over explicit messages to underage boys—has drawn fresh scrutiny in light of Trump’s past friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
After The Daily Beast resurfaced the clip, Trump spokesman Steven Cheung fired back in a heated statement.
“The disgusting insinuation by the Daily Beast is beyond the pale and does a great disservice to survivors. The Daily Beast is devoid of morals or compassion, all because they want to play political games,” Cheung said.
However, he did not deny the quote or offer further context.
The clip has reignited criticism of Trump’s long record of crude remarks about women, particularly younger ones. It also comes at a time when questions about his past relationships and behavior continue to swirl, especially with Epstein’s name reentering the spotlight.

In disturbing audio recording from 2006, sicko creep Trump says he has no “age limit” when it comes to having sex with young girls, but he would draw a line at “12-year-olds”.
