Watch: Trump Walks Out When Asked About Epstein Special Counsel — ‘I Have Nothing to Do With It’

Staff Writer

Donald Trump didn’t want to talk about Jeffrey Epstein — again. On Wednesday, after giving a speech at the White House, Trump was confronted with a simple, direct question from a CNN reporter: Would he appoint a special counsel to investigate the Epstein case?

Trump didn’t stick around to answer.

“I have nothing to do with it,” he said bluntly, then turned and walked away.

The moment was caught on camera and quickly sparked backlash — especially from his own base. Over the past few weeks, several high-profile Trump supporters have been demanding more transparency around Epstein’s ties and client list. Some, like Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and far-right activist Laura Loomer, have gone as far as calling for a special counsel.

The push comes after the Justice Department and FBI released a memo last week declaring that Epstein had no client list and that he died by suicide — not murder — while in jail in 2019.

The report only fueled more anger from Trump’s MAGA base, which has long believed the Epstein case is a cover-up involving powerful elites, including Democrats. But Trump is no longer interested in entertaining those claims — and he made that crystal clear in a fiery Truth Social post on Wednesday.

“Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls‑‑‑,’ hook, line, and sinker,” Trump wrote.

“They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years,” he added.

In the same post, Trump dismissed the outrage over Epstein as a distraction from his record in office:
“I have had more success in 6 months than perhaps any President in our Country’s history, and all these people want to talk about, with strong prodding by the Fake News and the success starved Dems, is the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax.”

He closed with a message aimed at those turning on him over Epstein:
“Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don’t even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don’t want their support anymore!”

For now, Trump says he wants no part in reopening the Epstein case. But his refusal to even discuss it — let alone take action — is only driving a deeper wedge between him and some of his once-loyal supporters.
