Former president Donald Trump has appeared to threaten Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and hurled a racial slur against the GOP leader’s wife, Elaine Chao.
In a message posted on his social media platform, Trump railed against McConnell, writing: “Is McConnell approving all of these trillions of dollars worth of Democrat sponsored bills, without even the slightest bit of negotiation, because he hates Donald J Trump, and he knows I am strongly opposed to them.”
“Or is he doing it because he believes in the fake and highly destructive Green New Deal, and is willing to take the country down with him?
“In any case, either reason is unacceptable,” he added.
Trump then leveled what appeared to be a veiled threat against McConnell.
“He has a DEATH WISH,” Trump wrote before aiming his ire at McConnell’s wife, Elaine Chao.
“Must immediately seek help and advise (sic) from his China loving wife, Coco Chow!”
Chao, who was born in Taiwan but moved to America when she was eight years old, served as the Secretary of Transportation in the Trump cabinet for four years. She resigned in protest the day after the Capitol was stormed by a mob of Trump supporters.
