Photos of President Donald Trump during a visit to the White House Rose Garden have kicked off a storm of speculation about his health. Online users claim he may be hiding leg braces under his pants — just days after he nearly fell while climbing the stairs to Air Force One.
Last week, Trump stumbled while boarding the plane. He caught himself by grabbing the rail, but the incident set off new questions about his physical condition.
On Monday, after returning from Camp David, Trump was seen inspecting construction work in the Rose Garden. He stood on a wooden board, talking with workers — but what really caught people’s attention was what appeared to be a strange bulge under his pant leg.
Zoomed-in photos were quickly shared on social media. “What’s going on here?” one account asked, posting four close-ups of Trump’s legs. Responses poured in.
“Leg braces,” one user claimed. “Maybe to prevent the leaning,” the original poster replied. Another person said, “Looks like he has medical knee braces on both of his legs!!!!!”
One theory stood out: Trump may be wearing AFOs — Ankle Foot Orthotics — which are used to treat foot drop, a condition caused by nerve damage. “That’s exactly what my pant leg looks like,” one user said, explaining they wear one for the same reason.
Some comments went even further. “Foley catheter. Urinary incontinence is a symptom of late stage Prefrontal Temporal Dementia,” one person wrote. Another added, “He is wearing a urine bag or something, you can see the catheter under his pants.”

The White House, meanwhile, says there’s nothing to worry about.
Back in April, Trump’s doctor, Captain Sean Barbabella, declared him in “excellent cognitive and physical health.” Trump underwent nearly five hours of medical testing at Walter Reed, including blood work, ultrasounds, a heart exam, and a full neurological check.
He also took the Montreal Cognitive Assessment and scored a perfect 30 out of 30. “I got the highest mark,” Trump said. “Good heart, a good soul, very good soul.”
Still, some critics aren’t buying it. Republican strategist and Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson told Times Radio that Trump might be showing early signs of mental decline.
“It’s not just compared to 2015,” Wilson said. “It’s 2024. You can see it.”
