Donald Trump spent his Wednesday night doing what he does best—unleashing a marathon of social media posts filled with brags, grievances, and wild claims about the 2020 election. The 79-year-old president started posting around 4 p.m. Washington time and kept going well past midnight, alternating between congratulating himself and attacking his political enemies.

In a flurry of Truth Social updates, Trump announced that he had personally approved disaster relief for three deep-red states: Missouri, Alaska, and North Dakota. He then made sure to remind everyone that he “won” those states in every recent election.

“It is my Honor to deliver for the Great State of Alaska, which I won BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024 — ALASKA, I WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” he wrote in one post.

“I won ‘The Show Me State’ three times in 2016, 2020, and 2024, and it is my Honor to deliver for these incredible Patriots!” read another.

The tone of the posts made it clear that Trump still views disaster relief as a reward for loyalty, not a federal responsibility. It’s part of a broader trend: his administration has reportedly been trying to cancel congressional funding for Democrat-led cities and states.

But the night wasn’t all about bragging. Trump also used his online megaphone to go after political rivals, including Vice President and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, and Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker. One post shared a bizarre AI-generated video mocking Harris, while another tried to blame Pritzker for a weekend shooting in Chicago.

He managed not to repost any more deepfakes of himself humiliating his own supporters, but one post did mix together racial stereotyping, election denial, and a basic misunderstanding of math.

“Ask former President Barack Hussein Obama whether or not he really believes that in 2020 Joe Biden got 15 Million more Votes than he did in 2012 (65.9 vs. 81 Million),” Trump wrote. “Additionally, ask him why it is that Joe Biden ‘beat’ Obama in every single Swing State with the Black Vote in 2020, even though Black Voters hate him, but in no other State? THE 2020 ELECTION WAS AN ILLEGAL SCAM/HOAX THAT THE PEOPLE OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY WILL NEVER FORGET!”

Of course, there’s a straightforward explanation for Biden’s record-breaking vote total. The 2020 election had the highest turnout in decades—66.8 percent of eligible voters, up from 61.8 percent in 2012, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The voting-age population also grew from about 240 million to nearly 257 million during that period.

Trump himself got 74.2 million votes in 2020 and 77.3 million in 2024, which makes his ongoing disbelief about Biden’s 81.3 million votes sound more like sore losing than statistical analysis.

And despite Trump’s claim that “Black Voters hate” Biden, exit polls show otherwise. Obama carried 93 percent of the Black vote in 2012, while Biden still won 87 percent in 2020—down slightly, but hardly evidence of mass rejection.

Behind the scenes, Trump’s own health continues to raise eyebrows. He’s been seen with swollen ankles and heavy bruising on his hands, and several neurologists have publicly questioned whether his increasingly erratic behavior and rambling speeches could be signs of cognitive decline. Still, earlier this month, the White House released a glowing report from Trump’s doctor insisting the president “continues to demonstrate excellent overall health,” claiming his “cardiac age” is “approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age.”
