Donald Trump decided to demote his campaign manager Brad Parscale this week after new polls showed him losing in five swing states and by a margin of 15 points nationwide. But why not just fire Parscale if he hasn’t done a good job? Well, according to a new Axios report, Parscale could know information that Trump doesn’t want to be made public.
“Trump really can’t fire Brad: He knows too much, and he built the digital infrastructure the campaign relies on,” Axios states.
As Axios notes, Bill Stepien, a Trump loyalist and longtime GOP operative, will be taking Parscale’s place as campaign manager.
“Stepien worked on Trump’s 2016 campaign, then was White House political director before moving to the campaign.”
