Donald Trump has put himself on the highest of pedestals by claiming he is the best at anything. On Friday, commentators were shocked after hearing Trump say that former President Abraham Lincoln was “questionable” for freeing slaves and that he had done more than the former president for black Americans.

“I think I’ve done more for the black community than any other president, and let’s take a pass on Abraham Lincoln, because he did good — although it’s always questionable. You know, in other words, the end result –” Trump said during a Fox News interview on Thursday night, before host Harris Faulkner cut him off.

“Well, we are free, Mr. President. He did pretty well,” Faulkner said.

“We are free,” Trump replied. “You understand what I mean.”

Personally, I have no idea what he meant by what he said, and I am not alone. Many commentators were shocked by Trump’s assertion.
