Secret Service agents rushed former President Donald Trump off the stage during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday after what appeared to be gunshots caused a stir. Video footage showed Trump reaching for his face and then crouching as Secret Service agents swiftly surrounded him. Witnesses reported hearing popping sounds, prompting screams from the crowd.
Trump, who had blood visible on the side of his head and ear, was speaking when the incident occurred. The audience reacted with shock as security personnel took action to secure the area.
Trump was subsequently escorted to a vehicle and evacuated from the venue.
