While Donald Trump has been launching multiple angry tweets regarding the election, on Thursday, he released an official statement claiming that the votes being counted are “illegal” and that he should have already won.
“IF YOU COUNT THE LEGAL VOTES, I EASILY WIN THE ELECTION!” the president said in a statement released by the Trump campaign. “IF YOU COUNT THE ILLEGAL AND LATE VOTES, THEY CAN STEAL THE ELECTION FROM US!”
Trump’s claims are baseless and offer no sort of evidence. In fact, Trump is attacking the Democratic process by claiming that votes should not be counted just because he’s currently ahead in a few states.
