Trump Posts Fake Obama Prison Video While Epstein Scandal Rages On

Staff Writer

Donald Trump is spiraling again online—this time sharing a fake, AI-generated video of Barack Obama getting arrested in the Oval Office.

The disturbing clip was posted to Trump’s Truth Social on Sunday after a weekend of wild rants about a supposed Obama-era “coup” against him. It’s part of a growing meltdown as the Epstein scandal continues to hang over Trump, dividing even his most loyal supporters.

The video opens with real footage of Obama and other Democrats saying, “No one is above the law.” It then cuts to a clown version of the Pepe the Frog meme—long associated with far-right trolls—before jumping into a deepfake of FBI agents arresting Obama during a 2016 White House meeting with Trump. The video ends with a fake shot of Obama in prison, wearing an orange jumpsuit, while Trump’s go-to song, “YMCA,” blares in the background.

Trump shared it without comment.

The bizarre post came just two days after his former Director of National Intelligence referred members of the Obama administration to the DOJ, claiming they “manufactured” intelligence to hurt Trump in 2016. Trump has since posted about this more than 17 times, echoing claims made by former Democrat-turned-right-wing darling Tulsi Gabbard.

Gabbard said newly declassified documents show Obama and his top officials “politicized intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump.”

Democrats are calling that nonsense. Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, slammed the claims: “One more example of the director of national intelligence trying to cook the books.”

Even some MAGA supporters aren’t buying it—many are pointing out the timing. Gabbard’s announcement and Trump’s media blitz landed just as renewed outrage over the Epstein files started gaining traction again, despite Trump’s efforts to bury the story and pin it on Democrats.

Still, the fantasy of an Obama takedown fired up parts of the far right. “MAKE THIS A REALITY,” right-wing commentator Nick Sortor posted on X, tagging former Florida AG Pam Bondi while sharing the same video Trump posted.

Trump didn’t stop with Obama. On Sunday night, he also posted a graphic of fake mugshots showing Obama-era officials like James Comey, Susan Rice, and Samantha Power in prison garb. He even floated the idea of locking up Rep. Adam Schiff, writing that he should be sent to prison.

Ironically, Trump himself was convicted on 34 felony counts for falsifying business records—the first time a former U.S. president has ever been found guilty of serious crimes.

Thanks to a controversial Supreme Court ruling last year, presidents now have immunity from prosecution for actions taken while in office. That decision complicates efforts to hold Trump—or any president—accountable.

But as the Epstein scandal refuses to fade, Trump appears desperate to change the narrative. Even if that means pushing AI fantasies of his enemies behind bars.
