President-elect Donald Trump has drawn a sharp line, naming a “blacklist” of former allies from his first term who will be banned from his second administration.
In a blunt social media post, the president-elect made it clear that figures like Mike Pence, John Bolton, Nikki Haley, Mark Milley, Jim Mattis, and Mark Esper are no longer welcome in the White House.
Trump wrote, “in order to save time, money, and effort,” he discouraged people from recommending anyone for his team “who worked with, or are endorsed by, Americans for No Prosperity (headed by Charles Koch), ‘Dumb as a Rock’ John Bolton, ‘Birdbrain’ Nikki Haley, Mike Pence, disloyal warmongers Dick Cheney, and his psycho daughter, Liz, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, General(?) Mark Milley, James Mattis, Mark Yesper.”
After listing these names, Trump added that he wouldn’t want anyone suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” in his administration either.
Trump also took aim at the Middle East ceasefire, claiming it was only possible because of his election win and the promise of his new leadership—downplaying the efforts of the actual negotiators involved in brokering the deal.
