Donald Trump exploded online Saturday in a full-blown panic, lashing out over growing chatter about Jeffrey Epstein, defending his attorney general, Pam Bondi, and blaming former President Barack Obama for the scandal.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump begged his MAGA followers to stop turning on Bondi, even as pressure mounts around his team’s handling of the Epstein documents.
“They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!” Trump wrote. “We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening.”
Trump went off the rails, dragging up old enemies and baseless conspiracies. “We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD,” he insisted, blaming the backlash on “selfish people” stirred up over Epstein — a man he bizarrely described as someone “who never dies.”
Then came the wildest claim yet. Trump flat-out said the Epstein files were fake and blamed Barack Obama for creating them.
“Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration,” he wrote, lumping them all in with what he called the “Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, 51 ‘Intelligence’ Agents, ‘THE LAPTOP FROM HELL,’ and more?”
He continued, “They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me.”
Trump accused his own supporters of falling for it. “Now my so-called ‘friends’ are playing right into their hands.”
He questioned why the files weren’t released earlier if they were so damaging. “Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?”
Then came the plea: “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!”
Trump wrapped up his rant with his usual talking points — false claims about the election and over-the-top praise for himself. “The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024,” he wrote. “Let’s keep [America] that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
The meltdown shows one thing clearly: the pressure is getting to Trump. And when it comes to Epstein, he wants everyone to look the other way — fast.
