Donald Trump unleashed a furious attack on New York’s judicial system, calling it “the most corrupt in the Union” and accusing the state of using politically motivated legal attacks against him.

In an early morning post filled with his usual grievances, Trump claimed that he’s the target of “lawfare” — a term he uses to describe legal battles he sees as unfair — and argued that these lawsuits are driving people and businesses out of New York. However, he offered no proof to back up this claim.

Trump took aim at several legal cases he’s facing in the state. He specifically attacked the judge overseeing a civil fraud case filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who accused Trump of inflating the value of his properties, including Mar-a-Lago. He also raged about the defamation and sexual assault case brought by E. Jean Carroll, dismissing her accusations as “fake and ridiculous” and claiming he didn’t know her. Despite his denial, a jury found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation, awarding Carroll $5 million in damages.

Trump also targeted another criminal case, describing it as “made up by a corrupt and highly conflicted Judge” designed to politically attack him. He didn’t specify which case, but he’s been facing multiple legal challenges, including those related to alleged hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

In his post, Trump wrote:

“New York is the most corrupt State in the Union. That is why so many businesses and people are fleeing. We need great Judges and Politicians to help fix New York, and to stop the kind of Lawfare that was launched against me, from falsely valuing Mar-a-Lago at $18 Million Dollars, when it is worth, perhaps, 100 times that amount (The corrupt judge was replaced by another judge, only to be immediately put back on the case when the Democrat political leaders found out that a change of judges was made. It has become a great embarrassment for the New York Judicial System!), to a woman that I had no idea who she was, making a FAKE and ridiculous accusation, to a “case” that was made up by a corrupt and highly conflicted Judge in order to criminally attack me for political purposes. Hopefully, Justice Will Prevail as these cases wind their way through the Appellate System. MAKE NEW YORK GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump’s claim that Mar-a-Lago was falsely valued at $18 million is based on the fact that legal restrictions limit the property’s use to a private club. Trump insists it’s worth close to $1 billion, but his own real estate experts signed off on the lower valuation. His claim that a judge was replaced and reinstated due to political interference is completely false; Judge Arthur Engoron has presided over the case without any interruption.

Lastly, Trump’s claim that he didn’t know E. Jean Carroll flies in the face of the evidence presented in her case, which she won.
