In a menacing display of vengeance, Donald Trump on Monday launched a fierce attack against Joe Biden and his family, vowing to seek retribution against the president.
Just boarding a private jet bound for Miami, where he faces a second criminal indictment this year, the former president took to Truth Social to declare his plans to personally target the Biden family if elected to the presidency in 2024.
“I WILL APPOINT A REAL SPECIAL ‘PROSECUTOR’ TO PURSUE THE MOST CORRUPT PRESIDENT IN US HISTORY, JOE BIDEN, THE ENTIRE BIDEN CRIME FAMILY, & ALL OTHERS INVOLVED IN THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR ELECTIONS, BORDERS, & COUNTRY ITSELF!”, Trump fumed in an all-caps rant posted around noon.
The statement raises concerns about the future of America’s justice system, as it would undermine the independence and integrity of the Department of Justice if successful.

Trump currently faces 37 criminal charges related to his handling of presidential records following his departure from the White House in January 2021. Additionally, he is confronted with 34 counts brought by New York prosecutors concerning a hush money scheme during his 2016 presidential campaign.
Simultaneously, the recent indictment from the Department of Justice coincided with the release of images allegedly depicting presidential records, possibly including classified materials, found in a bathroom and other unsecured places at Mar-a-Lago.
Separately, the well-documented hush money scheme for which Mr. Trump is now charged in New York has been extensively covered by journalists and corroborated by his former confidant and “fixer,” Michael Cohen. Cohen played a significant role in orchestrating the arrangement.
Throughout his tenure, the former president has maintained his innocence against the various charges leveled against him. He has also contended that the investigations into his actions are part of a larger effort by US law enforcement agencies to hinder his return to the presidency.
Furthermore, Mr. Trump has persistently claimed that members of President Joe Biden’s family engaged in corrupt activities similar to those his own family has been accused of by political opponents.
House Republicans have launched investigations aimed at exposing this purported criminal behavior. However, concrete evidence of illegal conduct has yet to be uncovered.
The Justice Department is reportedly examining Hunter Biden, Mr. Biden’s son, for potential tax law violations and a potentially false statement made during a firearm purchase process. However, authorities do not suspect him of corrupt or illegal foreign dealings, contrary to the allegations made by Republicans.
