Donald Trump on Wednesday slammed his former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen as “A CONVICTED FELON AND PERJURER” for testifying against him in the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation into his hush money payment to former porn star Stormy Daniels.
“Reports, and almost everybody, says, even after in-depth legal study and review, that there was NO CRIME, NO AFFAIR, NO BOOKKEEPING ERROR OR MISDEMEANOR, NO “NOTHING,” OTHER THAN NOW PROVEN LIES BY MICHAEL COHEN, A CONVICTED FELON AND PERJURER, AND THE STRONG LIKELIHOOD OF AN EXTORTION PLOT AGAINST ME,” Trump wrote on his flailing social media site Truth Social. “So, after getting CRUSHED yesterday by Cohen’s highly respected attorney, with the case against me FULLY DISPROVEN, why is the D.A. searching for yet another “witness?” TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME!”
Cohen, who served jail time on campaign finance and tax fraud charges, has testified repeatedly in the probe about the $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, which he said he made on Trump’s behalf.
The grand jury also heard testimony from attorney Bob Costello, who appeared at the behest of the Trump team in an effort to discredit Cohen on Trump’s behalf.
In another post, Trump wrote:
“How can a highly controversial, George Soros backed District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, who presides over one of the most crime ridden, violent, and dangerous Cities in the U.S., with no retribution toward these heinous criminals, bring charges against the 45th, and quite possibly the 47th, President of the United States, who received more votes than any sitting President in history, over 75,000,000, and who is currently leading all candidates, by a lot, when there is NO CRIME OF ANY KIND???”
“STOP VIOLENT CRIME, AND LEAVE OUR ELECTIONS ALONE!” he added in another post.
The former president also blamed “the Radical Left” for bad quality sound at a prayer event he called in to join the participants.
“Maybe it was the Radical Left who did it! Too bad the audio wasn’t working properly at the Event, but it was a great honor to speak in front of 3,000 Pastors (115,000 People Overall),” he claimed. “Some of my words were able to get through.”
