President Donald Trump’s approval ratings have sunk to new lows, with a Fox News poll showing his highest disapproval across both of his presidential terms.

The survey, released Wednesday, found that 59 percent of registered voters disapprove of Trump’s performance, including 47 percent who say they strongly disapprove. Just 41 percent approve, with only 22 percent giving him strong support.

Trump’s previous peak disapproval during his second term was 58 percent in November, while his highest first-term disapproval was 57 percent in October 2017.

Voters also expressed broad disapproval of Trump’s foreign policy, with 62 percent disapproving overall and 64 percent specifically disapproving of his handling of the conflict in Iran. In comparison, his first-term foreign policy disapproval peaked at 56 percent, and disapproval over Iran reached 55 percent.

The survey also shows 58 percent of registered voters oppose the U.S. military operation in Iran, with 37 percent saying they strongly oppose it. Only 42 percent support the military action, with just 20 percent strongly supporting it.

Other polls echo these trends. A Reuters/Ipsos survey released Tuesday found Trump’s approval at 36 percent, with 62 percent disapproving of his job performance. That poll also found that 52 percent of Americans think the U.S. military’s actions in Iran are going poorly, while 44 percent worry the operations make the U.S. less safe.

Tensions with Iran remain high as both sides issue competing peace proposals. Trump demanded negotiators “get serious soon, otherwise there is NO TURNING BACK, and it won’t be pretty.” Meanwhile, Iran rejected the U.S. 15-point plan, insisting on sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, reparations, and a complete halt to hostilities.

The Fox News survey was conducted March 20–23 with 1,001 registered voters, and the margin of error is ±3 points.
