According to Donald Trump, it’s okay if children get infected with the coronavirus while attending school because the probability of them dying are low.

During Wednesday’s coronavirus press briefing, Trump was asked if he was aware that some children have actually died from contracting COVID-19.

Trump dismissed the question and rambled on about how children are “virtually immune” from the virus.

“If you look at children, they’re able to throw it off very easily,” Trump claimed. He then went on to say that they get sicker with the common flu and that the “China virus” doesn’t affect them.

Trump didn’t offer any evidence to back his claims. All he said was “that’s according to every statistic.”
