Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday unloaded on law enforcement agencies, alleging unfair targeting by the Department of Justice (DOJ).
In a fiery social media post on his platform, Truth Social, Trump vehemently asserted his innocence, claiming to have committed no wrongdoing while blasting the multiple investigations into his actions, including the Russia probe, the “No Collusion” Mueller Report, two impeachment trials, the Ukraine phone call, and other alleged “scams and witch hunts” as evidence of this targeting.
“No one has told me I’m being indicted, and I shouldn’t be because I’ve done NOTHING wrong,” Trump wrote. “But I have assumed for years that I am a Target of the WEAPONIZED DOJ & FBI, starting with the Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX, the “No Collusion” Mueller Report, Impeachment HOAX #1, Impeachment HOAX #2, the PERFECT Ukraine phone call, and various other SCAMS & WITCH HUNTS. A TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE & ELECTION INTERFERENCE AT A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE. REPUBLICANS IN CONGRESS MUST MAKE THIS THEIR # 1 ISSUE!!!”
Recent developments reveal that special counsel Jack Smith, responsible for investigating Trump’s potential mishandling of classified documents, has employed a second grand jury in Miami to gather additional evidence. The federal criminal probe has intensified, with the focus on Trump possessing numerous classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort after leaving the White House.
Smith had been utilizing a federal grand jury in Washington, DC. The reasons behind the decision to convene a second grand jury in Miami remain unclear. However, this move suggests that Smith is approaching the final stages of the investigation and considering potential indictments.
Trump has consistently denied any wrongdoing, labeling the investigation as politically motivated.
