President Donald Trump is being slammed for contradicting a nurse who mentioned that the availability of personal protective equipment has been “sporadic” during a White House event Wednesday to recognize National Nurses Day, telling her “sporadic for you but not sporadic for a lot of other people.”
The nurse, Sophia Thomas, is president of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners. She told the president there are “pockets” around the country without sufficient protective medical equipment as health care professionals battle the coronavirus.
“PPE has been sporadic but it’s been manageable,” Thomas said of her health system. “And we do what we have to do. We’re nurses and we learn to adapt and do whatever the best thing that we can do for our patients to get the job done and get the care provided.”
Trump immediately replied saying: “Sporadic for you but not sporadic for a lot of other people.”

Trump’s response triggered angry responses online:
He just can’t keep his mouth shut and let it be about the frontline workers.

It didn't even register with him that she said her youngest patient was a 4 day old baby. All he heard was sporadic. He had to contradict her to save face.
Sickening, disgusting and callous.— Irene N Tn ✈ (@SusanCa60682206) May 6, 2020

So… that’s what you heard, Donnie? Maybe nobody wants to tell you anything you don’t want to hear.
Nah… I’m sure that’s not it.
