During an appearance on Fox News on Thursday, Former President Trump said that current conditions for migrant children are “inhumane” and “dangerous” and blamed President Joe Biden for it. He also complained that the press asked President Biden “softball” questions during his first press conference since taking office.
“Well, they were strange questions and they were asked in a very interesting way. It was like softballs, like you’re throwing softballs up. And it’s just a different world, nobody’s seen anything like it,” Trump said.
During the press conference, Biden took 31 questions from most of the major news networks, though none from Fox News, and covered a range of topics from China to immigration while also giving his thoughts on possibly ending the filibuster in the Senate. The president also announced that his administration hopes to administer 200 million COVID-19 vaccine doses within the first 100 days of his presidency, an increase from his previous goal of 100 million which has been already been surpassed.
Trump pointed out that Fox News not getting the chance to ask a question.
“It’s very sad to watch, actually. They’re feeding him questions, they’re easy questions. I noticed Peter Doocy didn’t get to ask a question today. And there could be no difficult questions, and they’re ready to rip the microphone away if somebody did get a little bit testy,” Trump said.
“Look, the whole thing is ridiculous, you know it and so do I,” he said.
During the interview, Trump also addressed the situation at the southern border and accused Biden of creating an “inhumane” and “dangerous” situation for migrant children.
Of course, President Biden inherited the crisis at the border, which, ironically, was created by Donald Trump during his tenure at the White House.
